We deliver racing pigeons and other livestock throughout the mainland UK every week. UK mainland livestock is picked up every Wednesday and delivered with guaranteed next day service on Thursday (see FAQ below for exceptions). Soon we will also start offering racing pigeon collections from the EU to UK mainland. To book your delivery online, please complete the form below.

Delivery schedules affected by the Coronavirus
Livestock Deliveries and Collections will continue as normal in Mainland UK for as long as the government allow us to operate and we will assess the situation on a daily basis.

Preparing your animals for transport
You must supply your livestock in appropriate containers ready for transport and our drivers will not catch, handle or transfer birds that are loose or in open containers. Walkers European Express Services Ltd and any of its representatives will not be held liable for any animal that escapes when the sender has used inadequate or inappropriate boxes to ship them.

How much does it cost?

Deliveries within England, Wales will now be £50.00
UK Mainland deliveries to Lower Scotland will commence at £55.00
UK Mainland deliveries to Higher Scotland will commence at £60.00

UK mainland prices are for up to 12 birds per consignment. Any consignments with more than 12 birds will be charged £3.00 extra per bird.

The transport cost for deliveries from Belgium or Holland back to UK mainlaind will commence at £100.00 + VAT per consignment for up to 20 pigeons (payable to Walkers European Express Services Ltd at the time of booking). All racing pigeons collected in Belgium and Holland by Animals to Fly (ATF) must come with a legitimate commercial invoice clearly stating the purchase price of the pigeons and be PMV vaccinated. VAT at 20% of the purchase invoice price must be paid to GB Quarantine Services Ltd, along with £90.00 + VAT per pigeon for the quarantine period before the birds will be released for delivery to the customer. GB Quarantine Services Ltd will contact you to arrange this payment at a later date.

Collections from Belgium or Holland are for up to 20 birds per consignment. Any consignments with more than 20 birds will be charged £3.00 extra per bird.

We do not deliver to the following UK Postcodes due to their remote location:

  • ALL KW, ZE AND HS postcodes
  • IV20 - IV28 INCLUSIVE
  • IV40 - IV99 INCLUSIVE
  • PA20 - PA49 INCLUSIVE
  • PH30 - PH50 INCLUSIVE

Higher Scotland postcodes include AB, DD, HS, IV, KY, PH and ZE.
Certain hard to reach postcodes may incur further price increases or be unavailable.

When will my livestock be collected and delivered?
UK mainland livestock is picked up every Wednesday with guaranteed next day delivery (on Thursday), except for the following scenarios:

  • Deliveries involving postcodes beginning with AB, DD, HS, IV, KW, KY, PA, PH and ZE may take a further 48 hours to arrive.
  • Deliveries from Belgium or Holland will go in to 21 day quarantine on the Friday of the week in which they are collected at Animals to Fly, they will then go into further quarantine for 10 days at our partner GB Quarantine Services Ltd. Collections from Beligum or Holland take place on a fornightly basis.

What time do I need to order by for a delivery this week?
For UK only* addresses Tuesday before 12pm** is the latest time you can order for this week’s pickup on Wednesday. Orders placed from 12pm onwards on Tuesday will be collected during the Wednesday of next week.
*Deliveries from Scotland must be placed before Monday 12pm for collection on Tuesday
**Deliveries involving a Belgium or Holland must be placed before Friday 12pm to make the next relevant collection week.

I’m a trade user with regular livestock deliveries, do you offer discounts to trade users?
Yes we have trade user accounts, subject to approval – please apply for a trade account here. If your account is approved you will be able to sign in and place bookings. Trade users are not required to pay at the time of booking and will be billed at the end of the month.

Are your vans heated?
No, we have controlled airflow but no heat.
